A mother's help is a person over the age of 20, with at least two years of childcare experience who is happy to work anything up to 40-45 hours per week, in exchange of full boarding and an hourly rate of £8-£9, subject to their experience, working hours or relevant qualifications.

An au pair is a young person between the age of 18-30 who helps out with childcare and light household chores up to 30 hours per week in exchange of full boarding and pocket money of  £100-£110 per week.

2. Family doctor check /note that you're healthy

3. An introductory letter for your host family (dear family letter)

4. Two written character references (from teachers or employers)

5. Copies of any diplomas/ certificates/ drivers licence

6. Photos (even video presentation) of you and your family

What your Dear Family letter must include:

  • Your name and age and country of origin 

  • Some info about your current home your parents and siblings

  • Your current job or studies

  • Your hobbies

  • Why you want to be an Au Pair 

  • Describe yourself and your plans for the future 

  • Your childcare affinities and experiences (lf any)

  • What you hope this experience will offer you. What you hope to learn and use ln the future.
